Knit & Purl

I have always wanted to learn how to knit. I envied the people who would knit their minutes away in the doctor's waiting room. I was in awe of my daughter who did her homework in front of her laptop while knitting a scarf. The sight of two long needles, a ball of yarn and what looked like a complicated chart and instructions with lots of abbreviations were enough to scare me but I finally overcame the initial fear of a daunting task and slowly but surely learned the art of knitting.
