Hats, Hats and More Hats

This past winter was so cold I was inspired to knit several hats. My husband was nice enough to be my guinea pig as I honed my skills knitting in the round. I eventually knitted three for him (two of which are shown below) and two for me. Knitting hats was so much fun as it offered quick gratification.

Shawl for Mom

My mom's birthday is this April. What do you give to someone who has everything? So I thought I would just knit her a dainty shawl which I hope she will find some use for.

Old Shale Scarf

I have taken a sabbatical from my sewing due to some personal reasons and have taken refuge in knitting. But rest assured I plan to finish some sewing projects I put aside last year and hopefully come summer, I am back to my normal sewing pace.

I knitted this scarf using Old Shale Scarf pattern by Tiennie. I used Sundara Fingering Silky merino yarn in the colorway Adobe which is a beautiful combination of blush and brown. The yarn is so soft and lovely, definitely one of my favorites. Details can be found at Ravelry.
